Gardens by the Bay - Survival Guide for Parents with Young Kids

Pei Pei and Hao Hao had visited the animals in the Zoo twice this month, so we thought it would be a good idea to bring them to learn about plants too - so here we are, Gardens by the Bay on Good Friday!

The highlight of the day was the interactive wall at Flower Dome.

After lunch, we continued our journey to Cloud Forest.

In the misty forest, Pei Pei and Hao Hao had a lot of fun to play with the mist, water in the pond, and even puddles of water on the floor!

Survival Guide for Parents with Young Kids
  1. For families that are driving, you may consider parking the car at the Marina Barrage, the parking is free! But it is provided that you do not mind walking for 10 minutes with the kids (We had a "good" physical training by carrying the kids to walk back to the carpark!!)
  2. Bring along jackets for the kids, it is quite cold in the conservatories, especially at the entrance of Cloud Forest where the waterfall is located.
  3. It is better for the kids not to wear slippers, as the floor of Cloud Forest is wet and slippery.
  4. If your children / yourself are afraid of height, you may consider giving OCBC Skyway a miss (Ok, maybe it is just me...)
  5. The eateries there are not cheap, so you may consider bringing your own food for a picnic! There are tables and benches in the sheltered walkway.
Have fun!
