Nursery Rhymes with a Twist - Gerry Rhymes

Chorus singer - that was what my friends described me when we visited KTV. Because I could only sing the chorus part of the songs. 

All thanks to the vocal training conducted by my two children, I am now able to sing the whole songs without any missing words! Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Old Macdonald Had a Farm, Mary Had a Little Lamb... you name it.

Nursery rhymes that we listen to are usually sung by children, so when I received a music album Gerry Rhymes for review purpose, I had a pleasant surprise!

Produced by Geraldine Png, a Singapore born singer and songwriter who is currently based in Los Angeles with her family, this album consists of a unique combination of different genres from pop, jazz fusion and classical music. This gives a refreshing twist of nursery rhymes. In addition, short stories are being weaved in parts with each song.

When I played the CD, I could feel my feet moving to the beats. When I turned around, I saw Hao Hao dancing to the music!

Gerry Rhymes will be available at Popular Bookstores and HMV Singapore from April 2014, the retail price is SGD16.90. Alternatively, you may purchase the songs online. Do check out the videos on YouTube too!
