Our children have visited LEGOLAND Malaysia twice, and they have been asking when we can visit LEGOLAND again. So when I told them about our trip to Central Japan, my "selling point" to them was LEGOLAND Japan at Nagoya!
Just opposite to LEGOLAND Japan are LEGOLAND Japan Hotel and SEA LIFE Nagoya.
Upon entering LEGOLAND Japan, we were greeted by this dinosaur.
I was very excited to visit LEGO Factory as I wanted to know how LEGO bricks are made!
The best part of the factory tour? Receiving a special brick as souvenir!
The children studied the map and decided to head towards LEGO City because they loved driving at Driving School. There was no queue and they drove 3 times!
They also played other activities that they had played in LEGOLAND Malaysia before (read our experience during first visit and second visit). I was eager to "drag" them to Submarine Adventure!
It was amazing to see small sharks, different types of fish and LEGO structures underwater!
Being young at heart, I wanted to try the carousel, Brick Party, but what a pity that no one else wanted to join me.
It was also a pity that we could not try out the playground The Wharf as it was closed.
We also wanted to drive the boat Coast Guard HQ, but when we were the second group in the queue after queuing for 20 minutes, the activity was closed due to technical fault!!!
Oh well, it was comforting to have some LEGO brick fries!
Miniland is fantastic! It features different parts of Japan. On the other hand, Miniland in Malaysia features places around the world.
The LEGO Nagoya Dome is impressive! So many figurines, each with different action and expression!
You can buy the coins from the machine if you are interested.
We were well-prepared when we visited LEGOLAND Japan. We brought along 4 super old LEGO figurines (I had them since young), and traded with LEGOLAND Japan staff for new ones!
One of the must-do at LEGOLAND Japan is to take photo with the mascot!
We purchased combo ticket that allow us to enter LEGOLAND Japan two times and SEA LIFE Nagoya one time within the day. Since SEA LIFE Nagoya would close earlier at 4 p.m., we exited LEGOLAND Japan at 3 p.m. to visit SEA LIFE Nagoya. Guess what, we came back to LEGOLAND Japan at around 3.30 p.m. If you have been to S.E.A. Aquarium in Singapore, you may find that the scale of SEA LIFE Nagoya is much smaller.
The last segment of SEA LIFE Nagoya was the most attractive part to the children, as there is interactive game for them to play. They designed their sea creatures on the tablet, and "sent" their creatures out to the big screen,
You may ask, what are the key differences between LEGOLAND Japan and LEGOLAND Malaysia?
Activities that are found in LEGOLAND Japan but not in Malaysia:
LEGO Factory, Brick Party, Imagination Celebration, Submarine Adventure, Merlin's Flying Machine, Splash Battle, Anchors Away, Castaway Camp
Activities that are found in LEGOLAND Malaysia but not in Japan:
Dino Island, The Forestmen's Hideout, Royal Joust, LEGO NINJAGO the Ride, Zane's Temple Build, LEGO Star Wars Miniland, TECHNIC Twister, The Great LEGO Race
Each of them has different activities, so even if you have visited LEGOLAND Malaysia, LEGOLAND Japan offers a different experience!
