This staircase at Chinese Heritage Centre led us back in time.
Located in Chinatown (48 Pagoda Street), Chinese Heritage Centre offers visitors a glimpse into the lives of Chinatown's early residents.
So nostalgic, I thought. However, the children were not comfortable with the crowd and the dim lighting at some exhibition areas. Perhaps, I should not have brought them there on the first day of free admission.
Nevertheless, the children get to see things that they had never seen before. Looking at the living condition of the poor in the past, I reminded the children that we should not take things for granted.
Admission to the centre is free from 20 to 30 September 2014, before it closes on 1 October 2014 for "rejuvenation work" until the second half of 2015.
