Some time ago, we bought a bunch of flowers to decorate our room. The children were delighted to see such lovely flowers in the room!
However, as part and parcel of life, the flowers withered later. Instead of throwing them away, we kept some petals to make another ornament for the room - a flower lantern!
Materials:
- Petals
- Transparency
- Parchment paper (we didn't have tracing paper on hand)
- White glue
- Washi tapes
- Clear tape
- Electric tea light (we bought from Daiso)
Method:
- Cut the transparency into a desirable size.
- Cut the parchment paper that is slightly smaller than the transparency (about 0.5 cm shorter on each side).
- Use white glue to secure the petals on the parchment paper, and leave it dry for a while.
- Place the transparency on the table, turn the parchment paper such that the petals face downwards, and put it on to the centre of the transparency.
- Use clear tape to secure the edges of the parchment paper to the edges of the transparency.
- Use clear tape to secure the two shorter edges of transparency together.
- Decorate the edges using Washi tapes.
- Place the electric tea light in the middle.
