Weather at Changi Airport: snowing!
Weather at Changi Airport: snowing!
Weird weather in our sunny island? Of course not. The snow is due to Disney Magic!
The children were thrilled to have a super early Christmas celebration with their favourite characters - Mickey Mouse and friends - at Changi Airport.
They had great fun at the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Bouncy Playground. They cruised down the three-metre high slide N times. How I wished I could join them too! However, I exceed both the height and *ahem, weight limit, so I could only watch them from outside.
Other than the slide, the children also get to bounce off sticky Velcro walls and leap into the ball pit.
Wow, what a beautiful Neuschwanstein Castle at Terminal 3 Departure Hall! The three-storey castle is inspired by Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty Castles that are featured in Disney theme parks and movies.
The children were delighted to meet Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in the castle!
Watch out for Donald Duck for the next show time. Before the show begins, remember to collect tickets which can be used to exchange a special Disney gift at the redemption booth after the show.
After visiting the Germany-inspired Neuschwanstein Castle at Terminal 3, do proceed to Terminal 2 public area to visit the five-metre tall Mickey and Minnie Mouse in Spanish costumes. Sigh, we forgot about that, hope to take photos with them next time. If you are departing for your overseas trip, you can capture the picturesque displays of Swiss chalets (T3 transit area), traditional Japanese cottage (T2 transit area) and New York City (T1 transit area).
There are also stage performances by professional ventriloquist puppeteers, French visual performers and contact jugglers, and on weekends there are roving performers including the Gingerbread man.
The children were happy to bring home early Christmas presents! There are 6 limited-edition plush toys (Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in Germany, Spain and USA), you can purchase each of these plush toys for S$3 when you spend a minimum of S$60 in a single receipt in Changi Airport's public area, or S$100 in the transit area. Look out for the new pair which will be launched every fortnight from now until 4 January 2015.
Oh, if you want to take a selfie / wefie with Mickey Mouse, there will be a meet-and-greet between 19 to 21 December 2014!
Excited to be immersed in Disney Christmas magic? Do check out Changi Airport's website for more details to plan your visit!
