3 Scrapbooking Tips from Scrapbooking Workshop with Canon

[Media Invite]

Looking at those beautiful scrapbook photo albums made by some mothers to chronicle their children's growing up journey, I also wanted to do for my children. Somehow, there was just some inertia in me even when I have some scrapbooking materials.

When Canon invited us to a scrapbooking workshop, I was very excited. Oh, it is my first time doing scrapbooking, and I am doing it with my children!
After a hearty lunch at Burgers Vs Wings + Bar located at Orchard Central, we started our scrapbooking project - making photo album with accordion pages!
To start, we must have photos first! There were a few Canon PIXMA printers for us to print our photos using Canon PIXMA / MAXIFY Printing Solutions App (iOS / Android). These Canon printers are no stranger to us as we have been using PIXMA printer at home for out craft projects like photo frame and customised T-shirts.

Pei Pei was assigned as the "Security Officer" who secured the paper using glue roller.

After 1+ hour of hard work, our first scrapbooking project was completed!

3 tips on scrapbooking that I have learnt from this workshop:

1. Use paper doilies - fold a paper doily into half, stapling it to the pattern paper.

2. Make scrapbook pockets - glue 3 edges of the photo / card or use foam squares.

3. Creative use of envelope - attach a card with photo on the flap.

What are your tips on scrapbooking?

Disclaimer: We were invited to the workshop organised by Canon. No monetary compensation was received. All opinions and photos, together with the sweat and effort to produce the first scrapbooking project, are mine.
