"What were they doing? They were planting rice, they were tapping rubber..." As we looked up the main hall, the children were curious about the pictures made up of mosaic tiles.
We were brought back in time when we stepped into Tanjong Pagar Railway Station.
To be honest, I was a little hesitated on whether I should bring the children to Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, because I thought that they would not be able to appreciate the architecture and history. It turned out that I was wrong - the children enjoyed the visit there very much!
The reason? They loved walking along the railway!

I haven't been even though I wanted to on many many occasions. Like you, I didn't know if the kids will enjoy it and the crowd/weather can be hard to manage! One day! I will surely go one day...

DeleteIs the rail still there now? I had thought that all the rails were removed already so I had never thought of bringing my children there before!

DeleteI want to go too, but my husband thinks it won't be fun. Maybe I'll ask him again. I think Noah will enjoy walking on the tracks too, since he likes trains!

ReplyDeleteErm, all outdoor places in Singapore are like that, right? At least there is shelter and indoor part of the station to avoid the heat.

DeleteIn my to visit list for sure! And I think my little ones will be busy picking up stones along the track while mama try to get their attention for pretty photos to blog with. LOL.

DeleteI have been there taking trains to Malaysia when I was young. But just did not get to bringing the boys there although it is always on my mind. Hopefully the haze will be gone soon so that we can venture there the next PH.
