Taiwan Travel: Changhua 彰化: Changhua Roundhouse 彰化扇形車庫

If you have read our travelogues, you may have noticed that I am a big fan of trains! We visited Miaoli Railway Museum in our trip to Taiwan in 2015, and embarked a railway adventure in Kyushu (Japan) in June 2017. So our trip to Taiwan in December 2017 also includes something related to railway - Changhua Roundhouse 彰化扇形車庫.

Does this remind you of Thomas and Friends?

While I was busy snapping photos, the children had a great time stacking the pebbles on the tracks.

Since we were in Changhua, we went to try the famous Changhua meatball (ba wan) 肉圓. It is a large size dumpling  consisting of pork, egg and mushroom, and it is served with a sweet sauce. We had Changhua meatball at 北門口肉圓.

We ordered the big size meatballs which consist of dried scallop. The outer skin was crispy at first, but after soaking in the sauce for a while, it became chewy. The fragrance of garlic lingered in our mouths for quite some time.
