Making Space for Imagination at The IKEA Space Camp

[Media Invite]

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Launch!" Space Craft P2.H2 was successfully launched into the space from IKEA Tampines last Saturday.

Space Cadet Pei Pei and Space Cadet Hao Hao participated in the "Build a Spaceship" module of Space Cadet Programme, which is part of The IKEA Space Camp. Using recycled materials, the two little Space Cadets designed the space craft with their imagination and creativity. Spaceman DaDi and Spacewoman MaMi were there to shake legs offer their help in folding the big cardboard box and to ensure the Space Cadets did not cut themselves.

Yeah! Mission accomplished!

Do check out IKEA Alexandra and IKEA Tampines on 13 and 14 June 2014 to be part of The IKEA Space Camp!

Other than "Build a Spaceship", there are other missions in the Space Cadet Programme which is suitable for children from 3 to 12 years old.
  • Space MonStar Suit - Project Runway in astro style
  • Orbital Course - Train like a space cadet through the galactic orbital course
  • Martianator - Draw your dream aliens and stand a chance to transform them into real-life soft toys
  • Comet Shootout - Launch space comets to hit 'alien' cans
  • Gastronaut - Design edible spaceship, rockets and UFOs

Ohhhh, we just checked that these pre-registered programmes have already been fully booked.

No worries, there are other fun-filled activities that you can look forward to! IKEA is extending their opening hours until 2 a.m. on 13 and 14 June! Dress up as a Martian from 10 p.m. onwards and walk home with a $50 IKEA Gift Card! 1. KG, IKEA Singapore organised such events once in a while. The children love their space craft so much that they kept playing with it at home!
