Outdoor Fun at Punggol Settlement

It has been a few days since I have been unwell. However, on the weekend morning, it was not too hot and the children were well-behaved (they didn't wake me up as they knew I was unwell), I decided to bring them out for some outdoor activities. Was I crazy to make this decision when I was sick? Well, breathing some fresh air could be a great medicine, I thought.

So here we were - Punggol Settlement.

There is a bicycle rental shop at level one of the building, and there is another one near Punggol Jetty. We rented two children's bicycles from the one at the building, which cost S$8 per bicycle per hour. It is more expensive than the bicycle rental shops at East Coast Park. However, the stretch of cycling track along Punggol Settlement was not as crowded as East Coast Park, so it was a better choice for our children who have yet to master cycling skill.

Can you imagine a sick mum running after the children on bicycles? I think I may have run a few kilometers!

There is a playground next to the building. (Note to self, remember to bring the sand play toys along next time!)

Next to the playground is a pool with many many turtles! See the turtles fighting for food!

There are not many big trees around the area, you can imagine I looked like a lobster after the sun-tanning. Many restaurants were closed when we visited there in the morning. Perhaps we shall visit during evening next time!

The children had great fun, and their smiles and laughters were the best medicine for their sick MaMi!

    1. May, the path outside Punggol Settlement links to Punggol Promenade and Punggol Point Park, which are quite big.

  10. Very lovely place to visit and the few restaurants around there are pretty good too. We had seafood at one of them and I heard the white bee hoon is awesome too. Have you tried that?
