Other than reading books and newspaper, another good source of reading material is magazine. I have been looking for a publication that helps to improve my children's English proficiency, so when the kind folks from ILoveReading.Sg offered us the subscription-based magazine "i" which is suitable for students from Primary 4 onwards, I was keen to find out more about this publication.

"i" features articles and comic strips of various sub-themes such as "Line of Work", "Sports & Games", "Science & Discovery", and so on. The content appeals to my firstborn who is in her tween year.

One feature that I like is the "Growing Pains" section, which helps the readers to understand and manage their emotions better, for example, becoming a confident person, as well as managing anger and stress in a smarter manner. It is relevant and helpful to readers who are going through the struggling stage of finding their own identity.

Pei Pei is very interested in word search, and she likes the section on language games, which include crossword puzzles, word search, anagrams and so on. This helps her to improve her command of English language through an interesting manner.
